NBN Preinstall For Builders, Developers & Homeowners
Greenfield Builds
How We Help Ensure Your Property is Ready For NBN
Is Your New Home Ready for the Internet?
You’ve planned the kitchen, the tiles, the tapware, but what about your internet connection?
Getting your home ready for connection before you move in can save weeks of frustration (and a few headaches).
At One Wire, we work with builders, electricians, and network carriers to make sure your home is ready for connection from day one.
What Does “Pre-Install” Actually Mean?
An NBN Pre-Install simply means getting the cabling and connection point installed during construction, instead of waiting until after you move in.
Why is that important?
Because once driveways are poured and gardens are finished, fixing a missed conduit or wrong entry point can cost hundreds (sometimes thousands), to dig up and redo.
With a pre-install, your home is connection-ready before handover, and you can get online the day you move in.
How Do I Know Which Network My Home Is On?
New estates across Victoria can be serviced by a variety of different Telecommunication Carriers.
nbn™ areas often qualify for a free, carrier-funded pre-install program, which we can organise for you.
Opticomm areas don’t offer pre-installs. Instead, homeowners apply directly once the house is complete.
- Other Carriers also share unique approaches to new home connectivity.
Not sure which applies to your home?
We can check for you, usually within minutes.
Can My Builder or Electrician Organise It?
Yes, and we work directly with them to make it easy.
Many builders and sparkies already partner with One Wire because we know what’s needed, where it’s needed, and how to avoid connection delays.
If your builder isn’t sure, send them our details, we’re happy to step in and guide them through it.
What Happens After the Build?
Once your home is complete:
If you’re in an nbn™ area, we confirm your pre-install is complete so your home is “ready to connect.”
If you’re in an Opticomm area, you can apply directly for connection via Opticomm Connect Your Home.
Either way, we’ll make sure you know what to do next.
Can One Wire Provide My Internet Service Too?
Yes.
Through our network partner, 2Go Broadband, we offer affordable broadband plans with premium equipment and support, built around the same quality standards we apply during construction.
You’re free to choose any provider, but 2Go Broadband offers a quick, seamless setup for One Wire customers.
Want to Make Sure Your Home Is Ready?
Don’t wait until after you’ve moved in to find out there’s no connection.
Whether you’re about to start building or just weeks from handover, we can confirm your setup and arrange the pre-install if eligible.
✅ Fast response
✅ No-cost checks
